The Landscape Artistry of Frederick Law Olmstead “One of the our most original, accessible, and stimulating writers on architecture,” Witold Rybczynski, has written more than twenty books on a variety of subjects, most notably “A Clearing in the Distance, a biography of Frederick Law Olmsted.” This being the bicentennial of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, Mr. Rybczynski will talk about the life of this famous figure and take us on a walk through two of his exceptional landscapes: Prospect Park and the gardens of the Biltmore House.
