Gustavo Campos

Gustavo Campos – Assistant Professional
Hailing from Brazil, Gustavo comes from a tennis family, with five relatives who are tennis coaches in addition to both of his parents. He began playing tennis at the age of 4 and started participating in tournaments at the age of 7. After enjoying a successful junior tennis career in Brazil, Gustavo made the decision to move to the United States to pursue college tennis and a degree in Human Resources Management.

He initially attended Barton Community College for two years, where he achieved a national ranking of 9th and earned the distinction of being named an All-American. During his time at Barton, he was also honored as Male Student Athlete of the Year. Subsequently, Gustavo transferred to New Mexico State University (Division 1) for his first semester, where he became teammates with our dear friend and former pro, Itay Feigin.

Gustavo has been involved in coaching tennis since the age of 15, and in the United States, he has had the opportunity to coach at Lake Land Tennis Club in South Bend, Indiana, and Lake Nona Club in Orlando, Florida over the last two years. Additionally, he volunteered as an assistant coach to help the women’s tennis team at Barton.

We are thrilled to welcome Gustavo to our community this summer, and we look forward to the expertise and energy he will bring to our racquet sports program.
